Today we had a little meeting in the Fuchi Bonsai workshop. We successfully avoided any Christmas lights and decorations on the trees, but had some good work hours in good company. The weather is very mild for this time of year, so the trees still have some sap flow and even the Larch showed some minor bleeding from a cut, which is not normal for this period. But no harm done, and some wiring and adjustments made on both bonsai and Shohin-bonsai.

It is a good time of the year to wire deciduous trees, were naked branches makes it easier to arrange the branch structure. When trees are naked they show the true state of the bonsai, without leaves hiding faults and outgrown branches.
