A rainy view in to the garden

Today a rainy view in to the garden, with fresh spring growth. Rain clears everything and make it look fresh and inviting. Not that I do not like sunshine, I most certainly do, but there is something quiet and a very special atmosphere in a garden after a silent shower.

So today’s view from my garden is wet. I will now bring a cup of coffee to the shelter and enjoy a moment of silence, overlooking the bonsai area.

  1. When my daughter left for college and the house was silent, a friend tried to give me sympathy. I told her, “My bonsai will keep me company. And they don’t talk back.”

  2. I share your feelings Morten -the rainy season is just beginning here in El Salvador. I guess most of us bonsai people look for that silence in this, even without clearly knowing it. Or as Twain put it, “Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish what they are after.”
