so.. I don’t share a lot on here or the internet in general but I spent the last week in hospital (very unexpected emergency) watching the videos. The juniper video greatly hit home and made me realise I need to trust my instincts more. I’m learning with bonsai (thanks to this site) to take my time, not rush but equally when I think something is ‘right’ to go for it. So I turned a juniper I’ve always been rather unhappy with into a cascade. I won’t post everything again here but if anyone is the least bit curious please have a look at @brumsai (brum is a nickname for Birmingham UK) and you’ll see my latest post. Loads more work to do as ever but im so much happier with the tree and certainly owe it to this site.

so thanks.. especially for the entertainment while in a bad way in hospital. And I don’t mean just to the main man -Morten – but to everyone who makes this site so interesting. It has all helped immensely. I hope to finally join a zoom at some point!

p.s – brumsai on Instagram is just a bit of fun for me. I have zero interest in the exposure but I do want to share my ‘journey’ and hopefully make others feel they can have nice, I’m not award winning trees and be proud of their work. Eventually.

    cheers, Dom

Oh… p.p.s: I’m very excited by the pot I have for the eventual repotting. Sorry Morten I personally prefers your tree in the pot but aesthetic choices are the artists!!! I just love the clean lines of your Chinese pot.
