Ah Yes I am in a similar boat. My barrel doesn’t last long either and so I tend to use it for my Mame trees and the hose for the balance. The Uk is certainly not acting as it should with rains. Good luck, we just got rain today, nothing like the real thing is there.

Hi Geoff do you not have a rain barrel to keep reserves. We did hear you are suffering from a lack of rain, which is unusual for you folks. Who needs the stress of such occurances. Hope things change soon for you.

Hi guys I did watch the Dave in Osaka Livestream too and was fascinated with the prices he was showing from the vendors. Some Pots at $50,000 USF, crazy for sure.

Hi Morten. Your new pots are beautiful and I agree that this will push our creativity to marry the right tree with these artistic creations. looking forward to seeing what trees you select for the projects.

Yes Geoff, I did. If need be I will make my own. In the end I think I found a great local potter who can construct an irregular slab for my mixed specie forest.  This is 22×12 Irregular slab

Thanks Geoff, do you have any seed houses that one can order from. I did a search and only suspect Chinese items came up. Not for me directly but a young club member. Thanks

Thanks Geoff, I thought I would give the process a go and I like the fact the shelves help to bring out the trees and that they are low maintenance.

Beautiful Beech Geoff, I just purchased a Blue Beech and very excited to see the leaf colour. It will be part of a planned Mixed deciduous forest inspired by Saburo Kato’s mixed forest style creation on pg. 19 of his book

Hi Geoff, nice to meet you on Zoom. I hear you on the size and weight of the big trees. That’s one BIG reason I joined up with Morton. sure having fun creating these little guys for sure. I used Mortens field maple group planting as a guide to make one of my own this week. I was a lot harder than I thought it would be, so we will see how time treats me.

Hi Geoff: new inspiration. I have a large Silver Birch Forest, now I need a Mame size on its own. Planning to do some Birch Air layers this year so this will give me a reason to try it…well done.

Thanks Morten for your kind words. Are you planning a book on this subject at all. It’s difficult to find any still in publication.

Hi Nicolas: My name is Jonathan Aristone from London Canada. Can you tell me if your forest is mediterranean cypress trees? It is very nice indeed.  I was in Italy last year and brought home some Cypress tree cone, which I was able to get seed from and plant. I have two trees now growing and the leaves are very blue in color. The shape is what I was hoping for too.
