Satsuki Azalea 'Kaho' (Rhododendron indicum)

Waiting for the winter to pass by, and waiting for a new pre-bonsai to arrive. Making a website for a bonsai store is paid with a new bonsai for my collection. The specie is a Satsuki Azalea ‘Kaho’ (Rhododendron indicum).

The winter has been extremely cold this year (as last year, but even colder this time). Lots of snow and freezing temperatures until now. But now it changes and milder weather is arriving for a period. In the meantime I study books of bonsai displaying and waiting for the Satsuki to arrive. I am always looking for good raw material, but newer finished bonsai. I want to form the bonsai myself. Making it my own so to speak.

Nice taper! And nice shohin. The only thing you will have to deal with is the large flowers that kaho has, so when in flower you may only be able to fit a few on the tree.

Really nice tree though, I am jealous.
