Juniper in the fift year

5 years after the first styling I return to this Itoigawa Juniper to bring it closer to the “final” image. progression and development is an ongoing process leading to smaller and bigger changes as the tree develops.

Deadwood expanded, brushed and cleaned is the first part of this episode. We also look at propagation and finally wiring and pruning the bonsai, getting it closer to the end goal of the transformation from raw material to an aesthetically pleasing Shohin bonsai.
Junipers is best worked on from late summer until spring. Now is a good time to reduce foliage mass and do general work.

This weeks epsiode shows the fift year progression of this Shohin bonsai. Watch this and the fill video library for mebers here: WEEKLY BONSAI EPISODES
