Repotting season has started

The repotting season has started. Deciduous Shohin bonsai are lined up. Where repotting is needed it is executed now.  It is time just before the leafs opens, showing full activity in the tree. Only trees that have a rootball making a health problem are repotted. Or when a new pot is a priority because of …

Yew bonsai pinching season

Spring means growth. Lots of growth. Especially with this seasons warm weather blessing us with sun and heat. It is about being on time with pinching, so especially shohin do not outgrow themselves, unless you need strength and extending branch length. The same old story

Spring is here – again. Same old story, but still the same joy to experience how nature wakes up after the dormant period. Busy repotting and exited to see leafs out again.

Last snow before spring

As usual winter wants to sign out of the season by dropping a few cm soft snow over the garden. It will be gone by tomorrow, and then I am ready for repotting-season. Have to wait a little though and see how March behaves.

Happy New Year

Spring is ahead of us in a future not so far away. Thanks for 2016 – looking forward to 2017.
