Japanese maple time

It is late spring. At least the heat isn’t on time. Finally, the Japanese maples open for a look at their beautiful leaves.

Despite warmer weather is here for now, (not really warm, but compared to the recent days it feels so) I will still look out carefully for night frosts. It will damage the new fragile leaves, and risk some damages I do not want.

It will set the tree back if the full new growth is damaged, and the leaves will not be able to cope with freezing when opened as much as they are now. Also, the developing fruits at Cherry trees must be protected. Else the wanted fruits will be ruined by nights freezing.
