Summer Tokonoma display
After a good rain all night and morning the sky cleared and the sun is back. Time well spent setting up a summer display at the Tokonoma.
A summer display presenting a European Birch, Betula pendulla. Although still needing a bit of development a display makes it clear what is still missing. The clean backdrop sets it up nicely so every movement is visible with a disturbing background.
Video coming up…
By far the largest tree in the collection, measuring 89 cm / 35 inches in height.
The display and explanation behind it will be featured in the next Almost Friday episode released Thursday together with the weekly tutorial.
Note: We continue publishing new content weekly, having just two weeks of summer holidays, the last week of July, and the first week of August.

I love Birch and that is why i created a 21 tree Birch forest. Our Q&A is where I learn so much more from everyone. Thanks…Jon

Thanks Jon
That sounds great 👍 The Q&A is a cornerstone for me as well. Appreciate all the good questions, but especially the spirit you and our regulars provide. A helpful and friendly environment as I hoped it would be.
Birch are really special for bonsai. I look forward to see how your forest progresses.
Best regards
Morten
