Bonsai Australia coming up
Tomorrow I leave for Australia to join up with Marija Hajdic when we arrive down under. This year the Bonsai Reshaped event is held over 4 days April 11-14. Demonstrations workshops and lots of social connections are part of this big Australian event.
Because I am away the weekly updates will be different this week. Instead of a weekly video published on Thursdays as usual, I will post various stuff from the event here on the blog and social media. Selected members-only content on top of that. So stay tuned.
Don’t worry about my bonsai collection meanwhile. It’s taken very good care of by my wife as usual when I am away.
If you are around the event be sure to come and say hello and have a bonsai talk. Join a workshop and demonstration. We will do our best to make this event memorable.
The Arboretum writes:
“Delve into this year’s theme of ‘Big & Small’ through our exciting series of events. Whether you’re an established bonsai artist, or just starting out, there will be no shortage of inspiration, new skills and tips to learn through workshops and the exciting Bonsai After Dark experience.
This year we welcome internationally recognised artists Marija Hajdic from Croatia and Morten Albek from Denmark, to share their expertise, influences, experiences and enthusiasm through workshops and live demonstrations. Both professional artists carry the legacy of the bonsai masters into the future whilst developing and exploring the boundaries of the art form.
Bonsai Reshaped offers the opportunity to connect with these international artists through their engaging live demonstrations and workshops.
Bonsai Reshaped is held at the National Arboretum Canberra, home to the National Bonsai and Penjing Collection of Australia (NBPCA). This event is made possible by the assistance of the Bonsai Trust Fund.”
