Official bonsai demo photographs

The official bonsai demonstration photos from China Jue 2017 are released. As followers of the blog knows I went to China in December to perform a demo on a larger tree than I usually work on 🙂 Though I have a variety of bonsai in my garden, the majority is small Shohin and medium-sized trees.

A big Juniper procumbens – and a very challenging material – was presented at the China Jue and Black Scissors Community event. After analyzing it for a few minutes I decided what way I had to go with this tree. The result was a natural appearance much appreciated by Kunio Kobayashi that I was working next to.
